Accessibility Guide

At GC Aqua Park, we want every guest to feel welcome, supported and ready to have a cracking day on the water.

Our Accessibility Guide explains the support available for guests with disabilities, hidden disabilities, sensory needs, mobility needs, low vision, hearing needs, and carers or companions.

GC Aqua Park is an open-water activity, so participants must be able to swim and move safely in a tidal saltwater environment. But where we can support access, comfort and confidence, our team is ready to help.

Commitment to Inclusivity

Our commitment to inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. We aim to create welcoming and accessible experiences for guests with a range of needs and abilities. This is reflected in our bespoke programs for individuals with disabilities, efforts to inspire the next generation of adventurers, and community events that celebrate our shared enthusiasm for water sports.

Getting to the Water

A Water Wheelies chair is available to assist guests with mobility needs across sand, beach areas, and shallow-water access.

The chair can help guests get closer to the water and support beach-to-water transitions. Carers, companions, parents, guardians, and support workers can also help guests feel prepared, confident, and comfortable during their visit.

Support people may assist with arrival, check-in, communication, transitions, supervision, or participation. Anyone entering the water must meet the relevant safety requirements.

Suitability depends on the guest’s individual needs, water confidence, swimming ability, and conditions on the day.

Before you VISIT

A visit to GC Aqua Park is active, outdoors, and water-based. The experience may involve sand, shallow water, floating inflatable equipment, movement between platforms, and changing tide or weather conditions.
Before booking, it is worth considering the guest’s swimming ability, water confidence, mobility, sensory preferences, communication needs, and whether a carer or companion may be required.
Our team can help talk through the environment, access options, and what to expect before you arrive.
