GC Aqua Park Makes Waves for Queensland Tourism and Local Sport
February 2026, was all about community, connection and flying the flag for Queensland fun.
From representing Queensland on the national tourism stage to backing local sport and joining a major Gold Coast visitor campaign, GC Aqua Park continued to show what family-friendly fun at Broadwater Parklands is all about.
Representing Queensland in Perth
GC Aqua Park proudly represented Queensland at the Australian Tourism Awards in Perth, standing alongside some of the country’s best tourism experiences.
It was a proud moment for the team and a reminder of the role local attractions play in showing visitors why the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s favourite family destinations.
Backing Local Sport with Southport Tigers
GC Aqua Park also signed its first major community sponsorship deal with Southport Tigers, supporting grassroots sport and local families.
As part of the partnership, the club held its season sign-on day at the Aqua Park, turning registrations into a fun family day on the water. The partnership also supports player recognition, team bonding and club celebrations throughout the season.
Because strong communities are built on more than game day — they’re built on shared memories, teamwork and a whole lot of cheering from the sidelines.
Joining Get Up and Gold Coast
GC Aqua Park also participated in Experience Gold Coast’s “Get Up and Gold Coast” campaign, helping encourage locals and visitors to get out, explore and enjoy more of what the city has to offer.
It’s a perfect fit for families looking for an easy, active and affordable Gold Coast day out without the long lines or full-day theme park mission.
What Guests Loved
Guest feedback continued to highlight what families value most: friendly staff, family-friendly fun, well-maintained facilities, safe equipment and a professional team. Simple, safe and seriously fun that’s the sweet spot.
Whether it’s tourism, local sport or family days out, GC Aqua Park is proud to play a part in creating memories across the Gold Coast.
Champions of fun, with Queensland pride and team spirit.
